Up to £60k basic plus strong commission structure and additional % based on profit or turnover

Scope of the role:
Development of the sales strategy within and beyond the current established client base. The business develops research reagents, diagnostic kits and its own products and supplier product ranges to the life science industries.
- Develop sales strategy for the various revenue streams through developing relationships with Researcher customers based in Universities, Biotech and Pharma businesses for example
- Working with Researcher customers in small research labs, contract dispensing customers, manufacturers of kits and animal labs
- Selling of third-party product portfolio to customers based in University departments, demonstrating a strong and relevant knowledge of the functionality of products and needs of the customer
- Development of territory analysis and needs identification database
- Develop, manage, and improve CRM database, train others in use of database
- Working with Marketing team to create campaigns relevant to respective market segments
Your background:
- BSc or MSc or PhD in a field related to molecular biology, genetics, medical bioscience, sports science or a similar sector
- A minimum of a years' sales experience in the life science sector
- Proven track record of moving prospective clients through the sales cycle through relationship building, targeted marketing and identifying needs based on research
- Understanding of practical bench molecular techniques
- Able to work independently and within a team environment towards a common goal
- Having established relationships with customers in the territory would be a distinct advantage
- Collaborative, competitive and strategic in your approach to client development and relationship management
