Fermentation Process Engineer

Process Engineer - Glasgow (G41) - Permanent

Our client is a food Biotech company with sites based in Scotland, England and the Netherlands. They are currently looking for a process engineer to work at their Glasgow facility. The individual would be responsible for engineering support within the fermentation team. This role is ideal for someone with either a process/chemical engineering background OR a scientist looking for a new challenge.

Key responsibilities:

• Aid in the successful completion of weekly process and development targets

• Direct process improvement projects

• Ensure compliance with quality and food legislation

• Ensure all members of the team comply with Health and Safety policies

• Ensure a safe working environment

• No direct reports, sole engineer on site

Desirable criteria:

• Experience within a process environment

• Health and Safety/IOSH/COSHH knowledge

• Engineering qualification

• Maintenance experience, ideally within an FMC environment

• Experience within food, drinks, pharmaceuticals or biotechnology

• Willing to take on a challenge, flexible and able to support the facility

• Contract Control Management experience

• A good knowledge of Siemens / Allen - Bradley PLC and Control systems
