Systems Engineer - Biotechnology

Here at SRG we are collaborating with a world's pioneer in ground-breaking characterisation of molecules. They are currently on the search for talented and time-served Hardware Systems engineers to join there rapidly expanding business. Based in the Oxford area and providing competitive salary and company benefits.

Expected Responsibilities:

* Lead the creation of product and system concepts

* Working alongside critical external suppliers and production partners across a range of processes, materials, and products to source critical design requirements.

* Definition of system and sub-system module boundaries. Optimal subdivision of functionality between electronics, mechanics, software and firmware.

* Responsibility for ensuring product/systems compliance with relevant ISO and industry standards (EMC, EMI, LVD) and preparing technical documentation in alignment with these standards.

* Managing mechanical and electronic engineering competence, overseeing CAD modelling and schematic capture and ensuring congruence with high level system architecture.

Key Requirements:

* Experience working in a multidisciplinary hardware design team, including, electromechanical, optical etc.

* Proven track record of product design and delivery within a high-tech scientific environment.

* Experience working with complex high tech scientific instrumentation.
