Senior QC Analyst / Team leader

Job Title: Senior QC Analyst / Team leader

Contract: 6 months + likely extension

Location: Skipton

Salary: £35,000 + project bonus

Shift: 2-10pm (weekdays)

Up to 20% of the Team Leader's time will be spent coordinating service delivery and managing the Synergy team.

Job Role:

• Develop QC procedures and independently perform analytical testing using methods such as TLC, HPLC, FTIR, UV
• Review data generated from testing and make relevant recommendations
• Lead and deliver laboratory investigations for OOS, OOE and OOTs
• Maintain high standards of H&S and adherence to GMP in all aspects of laboratory operations
• Act as the main interface between the customer organisation and Synergy, setting and reporting on SLAs and KPIs

Requirements

• Degree /diploma in a relevant scientific discipline
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment
• Advanced knowledge of instrumental, chemical and physical analysis techniques: HPLC and or GC; UV-VIS; FTIR; DLS; (auto) titration; Karl Fischer; TOC; density; melting point; viscosity; pH, etc
• Track record of driving new process initiatives
• Familiarity with environmental, health & safety and regulatory standards and safety management systems
