Job Title: R&D Scientist

Vacancy type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (strong possibility of extension)

Salary: £24,000 - £28,500

Location: North West of England, Chester

We are currently looking for two Scientist's to join a global, innovative, medical device and product organisation. The successful Scientists will join a well-established R&D team, where they will plan and perform physical testing on a range of medical products and devices, to support the ongoing development of current product lines and the innovation of new product lines. The R&D Scientists will also complete validation and compliance of new products, before preparing the products and protocols for the transfer to manufacturing.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, validate, plan, and execute a range of physical testing methods.
• Author a range of validation protocols, reports, and technical documentation for method devices/pharma products.
• Perform detailed laboratory investigations to determine root cause of atypical and OOS results, while being involved in change control activities.

The successful Scientist will be educated to at least a degree level, with 2+ years' experience in either a medical device or pharmaceutical laboratory setting, working to GMP. They may also be a PhD graduate, within a related subject. They will also have method development experience.
