SRG is delighted to be supporting a truly unique and innovative start-up biotech with their ongoing recruitment needs as they continue to build their in-house research teams. Our client is focusing on the development of a highly novel synthetic biology platform to offer a range of cell therapeutics using CRISPR methodology to engineer iPSCs. Due to ongoing expansion of the business, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Research Assistant / Scientist to join their busy cell therapeutic discovery team.
As Senior Research Assistant / Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in the discovery team, supporting their investigations into the efficacy and safety of their cell therapy solutions using a range of in vitro assays and in vivo models.
Key Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates will hold a BSc/MSc/PhD (or equivalent) in a Life Sciences subject, ideally with a key focus on cell culture (immune cells, iPSC, HSC, ESC). Candidates must have proven post-study industrial experience gained within a cell therapeutic research laboratory. Proven experience of flow cytometry is essential. Candidates must have practical skills in developing assays for the detection of cytokines or antibodies and practical experience of using ELISA and Western Blot.
In addition to your technical skills, our client is seeking an ambitious and driven scientist who displays a naturally inquisitive style. This role requires someone with a flexible approach who can easily adapt to an ever-changing technical landscape. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also required.
