Job Title: Upstream Process Development Scientist

Salary: £32,000 - £35,0000
Location: North West of England, Liverpool
We are currently looking for an Upstream Process Development Scientist to join a global biopharmaceutical organisation to assist in the design, development, transfer, and validation of clinical drug substances.
The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting various projects within the laboratory.
- Preparation and completion of documentation, including operating procedures, manufacturing records and validation protocols.
- Planning, design, delivery and reporting of activities within the laboratory to meet deadlines.
- Analyse investigation data.
The successful Upstream Process Development Scientist will be educated to at least a degree level, although a PhD in a relevant life sciences field is desirable. They must also have industrial experience within the field of bioprocess development, scale-up and GMP manufacturing, while also having experience in microbial production and processes. Experience in plasmid design/purification is also desirable.
