SRG is delighted to be partnering with a medical research company with 25 years' experience of turning research into treatments. They are now looking for a highly motivated individual to join the production and development group. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to developing the project teams generating various antibody formats as well as a wide range of protein targets. As a lab-based Protein scientist, you will join their exciting team, responsible for the identification and analyse

Key Responsibilities:

*Support research projects using a variety of techniques by performing relevant structural and/or functional QC to include kinetics, light scattering, HPLC-SEC, circular dichroism, fluorescence and/or ELISA

*Design constructs for recombinant protein production, antibody production and protein-based reagent (antigen) generation.

* Express target proteins using mammalian-based expression systems plus purify target proteins using FPLC, AKTA-based systems.

* Prepare data for, contribute to, and lead the drafting of reports and presentations for client interactions.

*To work in both a team and independently to ensure the effective research is produced.Ideal candidates will hold a PhD or MSc (or equivalent) in Protein Biochemistry or a related science discipline with proven experience. Proven experience with managing individual projects or multiple studies, as well as drafting and contributing to Quality and Controlled documents. Plus, perform relevant structural and/or functional QC to include kinetics, light scattering, HPLC-SEC, circular dichroism, fluorescence and/or ELISA. A proven understanding of protein construct design, expression, purification, and standard biophysical characterisation techniques.In addition to your technical experience, candidates must demonstrate excellent organisational and time-management skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently is crucial and candidates must display the ability to efficiently communicate to team members.
