CAPITAL ENGINEERING LEAD / FRONT END ENGINEERING MANAGER - HERTFORDSHIRE (ONSITE/REMOTE SPLIT) - CONTRACT

My client is a highly regarded and successful chemicals company based in Hertfordshire. They're currently looking for a Capital Engineering Lead with experience in leading front end engineering design to join them on an initial 6-month contract with the view of extension. The Capital Engineering Lead is responsible for providing engineering input in to a £100+ million capital investment portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering direction and input into projects
  • Ensure all engineering requirements are included in project budgets and timing and programme objectives
  • Lead engineering technical issue resolution
  • Contribute to project management activities, leading risk management and auditing activities
  • Ensure adherence to business EHS regulatory standards within multiple projects
  • Drive EHS improvements
  • Responsible for reviewing and communicating project priorities

Criteria:

  • Chartered Engineer
  • Educated to degree level in Engineering
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment (e.g. Chemical, COMAH, Pharma, Oil & Gas)
  • Experience of leading a technical team in front end engineering design
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word
  • Knowledge of AutoCad
