Exciting opportunity to be part of something revolutionary in the development of biosensor technology for next generation sensor platforms. Working as part of a dynamic and agile multidisciplinary team, your responsibility is to develop and test new applications for a proprietary platform in the area of small molecular characterisation and protein interaction. Your role meets at the intersection between the Discovery team in Cambridge (UK) and global customers, as well as research into customer needs - both current and potential.

Role profile:

* Using your expertise, you will support and guide the customer base in the development of applications using the platform

* Troubleshooting issues arising with the functionality of the platform, in close collaboration with the R&D team

* Testing and validation of new products

* Act as subject matter expert for new application notes and collaborate internally for publications

* Take a project-lead approach to your own work as well as joining-up with external scientists to demonstrate the various facets of the platform's sensing technology via publications and presentations both at locations throughout the UK and internationallyYour background:

* MSc or PhD in: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, or a related Life Science discipline

* Good working knowledge of biomolecular binding interactions and hands-on lab experience using SPR or BLI to study binding kinetics* Well-developed protein and DNA handling skills, including assay

development

* Familiarity with data handling packages such as Python and R

* Proven practical experience with laboratory techniques such as HPLC and ELISA

* Determined and curious approach, able to work independently and as part of a cohesive and multidisciplinary environment with changing demands

* Able to travel UK-wide as well as internationally
