Have you got expertise as lab-based line management in either a biotech or pharma setting and a strong background in cellular assays?

SRG is thrilled to be supporting one of our cell culture specialists as they continue to develop and produce a range of innovative products, solutions and services to the drug discovery and life sciences market. As lab-based group leader, you will join their innovative research and development team, responsible for generating and delivering their impressive portfolio of products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team to generate experimental data to aid the Research and Development team plus contract research service team for the client projects, requiring timely production.
  • To lead a team to allow for an expansion of the portfolio of new products within the R and D plus client's projects.
  • Design and carry out experiments independently with the differentiated iPSCs to support various projects.
  • Identifying new opportunities for new products and new assays to expand on service portfolio.
  • Provide commercial and sale support for driving new client engagement
  • Support the wider R&D team to assist with achieving departmental objectives

Ideal candidates will hold a PhD or equivalent in a Cell Biology/Life Sciences subject with proven line-management experience in biotech or pharma environment. Proven experience with presenting data both internally and externally to project teams. Candidates must have skills in a number of assay formats for compound screening like ELISA assays, flow-cytometry. Expertise in cell culture with aseptic technique preferably within stem cells. Understanding iPSC lines and utility for drug discovery.

In addition to your technical experience, candidates must demonstrate excellent organisational and team management skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently is crucial and candidates must display the ability to effectively organise projects and communicate regularly internally and externally.
