This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to step into a technical role to oversee all technical aspects of cell and analytical molecular biology.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining and proposing the strategy for CMC analytics to support product and process development, seeking approval from the Regulatory Affairs, Project Management and stakeholders.

  • Designing Biological Characterisation testing plans and aligning the physicochemical characterisation testing plans in compliance with all current ICH regulatory guidelines.

  • Ensuring the Cell and Analytical Molecular Biology team are equipped with scientific and technical.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles of cell and analytical molecular biology (e.g. qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA, Sanger Sequencing)
  • In-depth knowledge of cell-based assays with extensive experience using cell-based bioassays for the analysis of viral products

  • Greater understanding of residual analysis, techniques for determining Full: Empty particle analysis and product sequencing, (particularly NGS)

  • In-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art titre analysis of viral proteins and viral genomes and characterisation of viral proteins and associated strategies

  • Sound technical and regulatory understanding of the requirements for characterisation and CMC requirements for advanced therapeutic medicinal products and associated agency interactions.
