Would you like to work for a cutting-edge company working across modern Biological Therapeutics such as Gene Therapy and Cell Therapy?

My client, based in London are looking for a Research Technician - Immunology work across a range of cell and gene therapy focused projects providing research support for both process optimisation and analytical development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory-based activities to contribute to the development of research-based manufacturing processes. As such awareness and understanding of operating within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment would be advantageous.
  • Laboratory-based activities can include but are not limited to media preparation, culture of various cell types and performing routine assays such as flow cytometry, RT-qPCR and ELISA.
  • Work closely with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Support laboratory operations by operating under aseptic technique, ensuring adequate reagent supply and that equipment is safe, calibrated and ready to use.
  • Adhere to the company's health and safety policies, be able to comply with quality management system procedures and electronic laboratory notebook (eLN) for data capture.

Experience:

  • BSc within a Life Sciences discipline.
  • Technical knowledge either in biologics or cell biology is required. More specifically, a background in immunology, virology or other related life science discipline is essential.
  • Relevant experience working within a research or industry-based manufacturing environment either with biologics or cell therapies.
  • Cell culture experience with a range mammalian cell types would be advantageous.
  • Experience of flow cytometry sample acquisition, RNA/DNA isolation, RT-qPCR and ELISA.
  • Good written communication skills including report writing, data presentation and protocol writing
  • Good IT skills including experience of data analysis and structure (such as GraphPad Prism and FlowJo).
