Supporting the production of freeze-dried reagents for use in novel molecular diagnostic products, set to revolutionise point of care molecular testing. Taking an elegant yet simplistic approach to testing, with a rapid result capability that isn't dependant on laboratory instrumentation, this organisation are on the cusp of transforming the way in which molecular science is able to contribute to real-world issues around testing.
Role and Responsibilities:
Working as part of a small but growing bio-manufacturing team supporting the commercial production freeze-dried reagents for use in molecular diagnostic devices
Preparation and qualification of biochemical reagents for manufacture of the products
Production of molecular diagnostic assay reagents
Installation, validation and maintenance of the laboratory equipment
Handling the batch production records and updating the database accordingly
Monitoring and working to stringent protocols with relation to the quality management system (QMS)
Working collaboratively within a small but busy team of Scientists to share ideas, suggest improvements and deliver on commercial business promises
Your background:
Background of working in a production facility working to ISO 13485 standard or GMP
It would be beneficial to have an appreciation or working knowledge of the molecular science field
Proven experience of Lyophilisation/freeze drying of biomolecules is essential
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and verbal reasoning skills
Initiative, adaptability and flexibility combined with a curious and driven nature
