Fermentation Scientist

We are looking for a Fermentation Scientist to join an award winning biotech company in South Wales. In this role you will be working to improve fermentation techniques

You will be responsible for fermentation science, process design to deliver process development, programming of lab and pilot scale fermenters, technical transfer and improvements to optimise microbial fermentation processes for recombinant protein production.

Skills and Experience

• Master's or PhD in Biology/Biochemistry/Microbiology
• Practical experience relating to fermentation processes, process optimisation, programming and troubleshooting microbial fermentations within an industrial environment.
• You will have a willingness to learn and develop and have an appreciation on the practical aspects of enzymology, protein chemistry, downstream processing of recombinant proteins,
• Design of Experiments and technical transfer.
• Questioning, analytical and enthusiastic approach to your work.
