Exciting opportunity for an abmbitous, hands-on enginneer to be a part of pioneering technology with a leader in the renewable sector !Our client, is an innovative solar solution company and they are looking for a hands-on equipment engineer to work alongside the product / process development teams, to help maintain and improve R&D toolsets.The role is being created to provide front-line engineering support for the fabrication toolsets and site services; to improve overall operating efficiency of the site and avoid unexpected downtime.Responsibilities:Providing prompt response to issues as may occur in R&D production line.Taking ownership of the deposition toolsets and proactively ensure they are safe and appropriately maintained. This includes managing the preventative maintenance regime.Supporting the efficient operation of the site, in particular minimize downtime of equipment/plant items and monitoring of equipment productivity.Supporting the engineering team with the larger, complex projects, such as laboratory modification and tool upgrades/re-designs.Assisting in the development and refinement of our active layers, in collaboration with the rest of the R&D team.Qualifications and experience:Equipment engineering experience supporting complex toolsets ideally in a volume production environment. Minimum of three years experience is desirable.Degree level in an engineering or science-based subject is preferred.High vacuum deposition experience, PVD / CVD.Some lab-to-fab / product development / NPI experience would be advantageous.CAD skills (Solidworks / Autodesk).Good working knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures, and safe systems of work.Computer literate essential (Microsoft Office, Teams, tools to enable remote monitoring of plant).Company offers excellent benefits;Salary £35k-£40k25 days holiday per annum + public holidayslif insurance 4x base salaryPrivate Medical insuranceGroup Personal Pension schemeBonus schemeOpportunity to be a part of a dynamic, diverse and environmentaly conscious team !If you think this sounds like the right opportunity for you then don't wait, apply today and become part of the pioneering team and have a tangible impact on the development of the Energy sector !
