A global pharmaceutical company has a new opening for a Medical Scientific Advisor to join their close-knit UK team

Medical/Scientific Advisor Location: Home Counties

I am currently working with a Global Pharmaceutical Company who pride themselves on being patient-centric, ethical and innovative. Their UK branch have an opening for a Medical Scientific Advisor to join their close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing pharmaceutical professional with at least 1-2 years industry experience and good commercial acumen to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will focus on the Medical activities for the company's existing portfolio as well as upcoming product launches.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for the execution of the medical strategic plan
  • Represent the company as the therapy area expert
  • Collaborate with other functions (including Marketing, Regulatory) to provide strategic scientific input and ensure brand strategy is coordinated across all relevant departments
  • Critically review promotional materials to ensure information is compliant in accordance with relevant regulatory bodies
  • Provide support to the Head of Medical Affairs in developing and implementing Medical Affairs' initiatives to support the company's needs
  • Prepare and/or contribute to disease area & product-specific training of internal stakeholders
  • Interacting with KOLs within the therapy area to deliver the therapy area medical affairs plan

Skills/experience required:

  • MUST BE: GMC Registered Physician or GPhC registered Pharmacist
  • Existing ABPI Final Signatory status highly advantageous but not essential
  • Ideally possesses 1-2 years' pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Strong understanding of the Pharmaceutical Industry and UK healthcare environment
  • Able to swiftly and thoroughly learn about new therapy areas & environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills
  • Knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice
