QC Technician required, based in West Yorkshire. Good organisation and mathematical skills and strong verbal and written communication needed. Previous experience in Quality Control or materials, coatings, polymers or similar preferred but not essential.Title: QC TechnicianLocation: West YorkshireSalary: £22,000 per annumSRG is working with a successful and well-established company who manufacture chemical products and materials for the construction industry. They have an excellent reputation with their customers and are now looking to hire a new QC Technician to join the team. This will involve conducting a range of physical testing on raw materials and finished products to EN standards, documenting results and contributing to the Quality Management System to ensure successful audits. It would be ideal for someone with existing QC experience or equally an organised individual with good maths skills and an interest in working in a physical testing laboratory. Benefits: Permanent, stable role with an independent and long-running business. Offering 22 days' holiday, plus 8 bank holidays, workplace pension scheme, free parking. 40 working hours per week, 8am - 5pm, Mon-Fri. 1 hour lunch break.Role/Description* Conducting quality control testing on raw materials and finished products, using test methods according to BS EN Standards* Testing will include tensile strength, thermal stability, impact resistance, water-tightness and flexibility under varying temperatures* Ensuring recording and reporting of results is to required standards for certification purposes* Calibrating and maintaining test equipment* Maintaining appropriate documentation for the Quality Management System and audit trails.* Recommending and implementing improvements to test methods and procedures as appropriate* Liaising regularly with production to feedback out of specification results and recommendationsRequirements* Minimum GCSE qualifications in Maths and Science - A Levels, HNC, HND advantageous * Experience in a laboratory, QC or industrial manufacturing environment considered preferred, but not essential* Any practical experience of physical test methods, such as tensile strength, considered beneficial* Strong, practical mathematical skills and good written communication skills* Excellent attention to detail and a good work ethicIf you would like to apply for this position, please use the link provided.
