SRG are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement engineer to join a medical device client of ours based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing production processes and products with the aim of reducing costs and improving efficiency.
Successful applicants will have an understanding of current processes and use lean six-sigma manufacturing tools to implement measurable improvements as well as the ability to develop and deliver project plans, lead and co-ordinate cross functional team projects and maintain an awareness of the relevance and importance of activities performed and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives
* Review manufacturing.* Identify and deliver continuous improvement programs * Identify cost savings opportunities * Ability to conceptualise and develop process solutions * Review and use FMEA and DOE processes to support improvements* Understanding of test and validation methods employed in the manufacture of products.* Support QS group in development of a Quality System structure in line with revised ISO 13485
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Educated to an HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.* Relevant previous experience in a high-quality manufacturing environment.* Knowledge of process engineering, maintenance and/or design.* Proven project management experience.* CAD experience desirable (Solidworks/ Solidedge)
