Supply Chain Manager - new job in Glasgow, UK

SRG are working with an innovative biotechnology company who are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team. Now is a fantastic time to join this unique organisation, in this key role.

The role:

• Be responsible for developing and leading the supply chain strategy, developing the team and ensuring compliance with quality, H&S and regulatory requirements
• Responsibility of the flow of materials to meet business needs, in line with objectives and growth
• Maintaining and developing the planning process
• Taking a lead role in understanding and troubleshooting
• Monitor the movement of stock via internal systems to ensure transactions are completed accurately and within timescales
• Delivery of scheduled shipments in full and on time, maintaining communication lines with courier/customers on delivery schedules
• Negotiate optimal rates and shipping solutions with freight and storage partners
• Internal development of processes and management of incoming materials and processes e.g. specifications, shipping conditions etc.

Requirements:

• You will have experience in similar roles, ideally 5+ years
• Experience within the life sciences sector and/or regulated GLP/GMP environments is preferable
• Experienced in supply chain management and procurement strategies
• Experience of inventory control, materials planning/forecasting, procurement, staff management, shipping goods globally and working with biological substances
• Knowledge and understanding of customs rules/regulations and health & safety procedures
