Staff Nurse - Dialysis Care - Galway - 12 Month Contract

Are you an experienced Staff Nurse looking for a challenging opportunity with a Global Leader in the Renal Care space? If so we have an exciting opportunity for you !

One of the worlds leading providers of Dialysis care are looking to add to their established team in Galway. You will join a strong team of specialists in their area on an initial 1 year maternity cover contract. These roles come with best in class training and support as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.

The ieal candidate will have between 3 - 6 years Nursing experience. Renal care experience is an advantage for any applicant.

Applicant's must be based in Ireland and be willing to begin work with in the next 1-3 months

Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current INMB PIN to practice
  • Completion of training for additional clinical skills required in the unit i.e. IV drug administration/cannulation & venipuncture
  • Ability to build good relationships with patients, relatives, visitors and colleagues
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to provide verbal and generate and computer written reports on the patient's condition for nurses and professionally qualified workers
  • Demonstrate teaching and presentation skills to enable active participation as a mentor for students and to promote an effective learning environment

Key roles and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following

  • Organise and participate in the delivery of high standards of evidence based nursing care
  • To report to the appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team any significant changes in a patient's condition or situation
  • To contribute towards health promotion for all patients by providing education, support and advice
  • To take personal responsibility for ensuring that patients are treated with courtesy at all times, the individual needs of patients are respected and confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • Ensure the readiness for use of special equipment and the availability of nursing supplies in conjunction with the senior ward nurses
