We are currently working with a global leader in molecular diagnostics and looking for an experienced health & safety manager to oversee their state-of-the-art facility, in Manchester. As the Laboratory Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for successfully raising awareness of the need for a safe working environment by working closely with laboratory owners and office workers.
The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Promoting a culture of safety awareness across all the company's sites nationwide.
- Developing and maintaining the health and safety management system including policies, procedures and regulations, including risk assessments and COSHH procedures.
- Maintaining and testing continuity plans of the business.
- Managing safety incident reports and implementing both corrective and preventative actions.
Experience required:
- A degree in a relevant scientific subject or relevant industrial experience in a lab H&S role.
- We desire someone who is either IOSH or NEBOSH qualified and has experience of leading all site health and safety procedures independently.
