SRG are working with an exciting manufacturing company based in North Lanarkshire who are looking for a chemist to join their materials testing team in Coatbridge.

This role operates between the lab and the manufacturing floor and is responsible for ensuring the purity and stability of raw materials, intermediates & finished products.

The Role

In this position you will work alongside the QHSE manager and a team of technicians to support in the chemicals manufacturing process and carry out materials testing in line with predetermined SOPs, and verifying materials compliance against spec requirements, as well as being responsible for raising & investigating any non-conformance.

As part of this team you will also be responsible fr the maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory environment ensuring health & safety procedures are followed.

The right candidate

• Higher Education Award in Chemistry/Forensics
• Demonstrable experience in an industrial laboratory environment
• Experience in any of the following techniques; thermal analysis, calorimetry, sample digestion or atomic emission spectroscopy
• Experience in a regulated environment (GMP/ISO)

This role is offering a salary package up to £30,000 p/a for a full time, permanent, site-based position in North Lanarkshire. This position is dayshift working Mon-Thur 07.45-16.15 and 07.45-12.45 on a Friday.
